How do I report foreign employment income?
To report any foreign employment income you earned during the year that was not reported on a T4, search for “Foreign Employment income”, then add the Employment Income section to your tax return and answer “Yes” to “_"Do you have other employment income not shown on T4 slips?"” Enter your total foreign employment income in the table that appears.
If you had foreign tax withheld on your income, don’t forget to also add a T2209 to claim foreign tax credits.

You can either enter your income in Canadian dollars or you can enter it in foreign currency and include a foreign exchange rate. If you include both the source country and your foreign tax paid, we’ll automatically calculate your foreign tax credit for you.
Certain people with foreign employment income are also eligible for the Overseas Employment Tax Credit. You can find that using the search box.
